Jan Vrijbloed, PhD. A Senior Manager with experience in the pharmaceutical business in multiple leadership roles, including the position of Chief Scientific Officer. Combines assertive leadership capabilities and a profound knowledge of Pharmacology and Biotechnology from Discovery to Clinical Development. Scientific expertise in therapeutic areas spanning in neuro-muscular diseases. Author of over 30 research publications in scientific journals, and book chapters. Co-inventor of 13 patents and patent application for Neurotune, Polyphor, the University of Zurich and the University of Groningen.
Prof. Ruggero Fariello, MD. Before becoming a Professor & Chair Neurological Sciences, Rush University, Chicago, he served as tenured Professor at three US Universities (Wisconsin, Texas, Jefferson). Prof. Fariello is Co-founder, CSO and Member BoD of Newron Pharmaceuticals. Senior consultant to VCs, Pharma companies, Universities and Research Institutions for Discovery, Development and Technology Transfer. Over 30 years of pharmacological and clinical competence. Worldwide reputation as a CNS Clinical Investigator and Drug Developer. Author of tens of patents and about 200 publications.
Markus Hildinger, PhD. Founder of Evitria (www.evitria.com). A Zurich-based company in protein expression. Expert in antibody technology, protein expression, purification. 10 years of consulting at BCG in Boston and Zürich - dealing with R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial. Ph.D. in Medical Genetics (University of Hamburg + Post-Doc at University of Pennsylvania) plus an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Prof. Alessandro Vercelli, MD is Scientific Director of the Neuroscience Institute of the Cavalieri Ottolenghi Foundation (please follow link). He is also Full Professor at the Department Neuroscience Corso M. D'Azeglio 52, Torino, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Head of Neuroscience Institute of Turin and President of the Italian Institute of Neuroscience. He is an expert in Neurobiology of Neuromuscular Diseases.
